What the Quack in a nutshell
What the Quack? is a 48h long online hackathon organized to tackle challenges facing us during the current outbreak. The event is organised by Springboard,
a Hanken-based company launchpad.
This is a call to action to each and everyone to participate in the fight against Covid-19 and is inspired by our local Hack The Crisis Finland, and our southern neighbours from Estonia who started the movement with their Hack the Crisis.
Why?
What?
Covid-19 is causing all types of challenges, if and when we work together we can help solve these and make life better during and after this outbreak.
A 48-hour online hackathon where participants work on ideas to solve problems caused by Covid-19 with the help from mentors and a supporting toolkit that will help you get going.
How?
For who?
Register at the latest 3rd of April at 16:00, more information on how to proceed will be sent to your email. Our platform is built to suit everyone, whether you have been to many hackathons or this is your first run hacking and solving problems.
Everyone is welcome no matter what experience or background you have. No previous hackathon or coding experience required, just an interest to help solve the crisis. The more diversity we have, the better ideas we will come up with!

I love how people are reacting to the crisis by doing things. For me entrepreneurship has always been about doing, seems like the current crisis is bringing out the entrepreneur in all of us. By doing things together we can solve any problem and I'm very excited to be part of the hackathon!

I am not a teacher, neither do I have medical education. How can I then help our community with my solution driven attitude and experience that I have in digitalization? It did not take me even a second to decide joining the hackathon as a mentor. I rather be active myself then whine in the corner. Let’s work together and hopefully we have some awesome innovations after the hackathon weekend.

Boosting entrepreneurial doers, in all organizations, is the key to innovation, growth and renewal. This is also what we do at EEX every day. Thus it is only natural to participate in the hackathon.
I am glad to participate myself as a mentor and to invite our EEX Community of our best Entrepreneurial Leaders to join both as mentors and participants. I’m positive this is going to be fun and useful weekend!
